It’s been raining a lot lately, and with school out, we’ve had more time for board games. Instead of trying new things, we’ve mainly been going to our favorites.
For the younger ones, Splendor is a big go-to. No reading required, and only minimal math and color matching skills. So our kids start playing this game around 4-5 years old. As they get older, they understand it better, and they love that it’s one of the grown-up games.
Another favorite in this house is Dominion. Each game can be so different, just based on what cards you put out. We recently acquired the Empires expansion, and have enjoyed playing it, and mixing and matching it with the other sets.
